Jim has guided leading retailers and manufacturers from around the globe in implementing category management, computer aided shelf design, demand-based promotion planning, computerized inventory replenishment and customer-centric retailing. Jim has led IRI’s product strategy and thought leadership. He was also a founding member of EYC where he conceived, designed and implemented solutions that armed clients with actionable insights about their customers for the purpose of driving marketing campaigns, merchandising activities, sales programs and trade partner negotiations. Prior to EYC, Jim led Nielsen’s global development of high powered retail solutions, providing clients with critical insights on what is selling, where it is selling, who is buying and why. Jim began his career at a major international retailer, where he gained first hand experience in marketing, replenishment, store operations & merchandising, all of which helped in authoring the “1st Best Demonstrated Practice” category management book.

Jean-Marc has over 20 years of management consulting experience supporting CPG manufacturers and retailers across the globe. Jean-Marc began his career at Mars & Company, where he consulted for Fortune 500 companies in North America, Latin America, Europe and Asia. At OC&C Strategy Consultants, Jean-Marc led high-profile growth, M&A and cost reduction projects for leading corporations in the consumer products, retail, health care and energy sectors. In his consulting career, Jean-Marc has developed international growth strategies for leading wine, spirits and bottled water brands, helped a global food giant turn around struggling confectionery businesses and advised a leading U.S. grocery chain on how to capture more of its customers’ spending. Leveraging his extensive international experience in CPG, Jean-Marc developed white papers on innovation in food and beverage categories. More recently, Jean-Marc was an executive at IRI, where he brought next generation customer insights and manufacturer collaboration capabilities to leading retailers in the U.S.
